Jenny Barkan, ACC, is a certified business coach specializing in Leadership Skills Development and the Creation of Employee Experience. She holds degrees in Law, and Psychology & Management, but her passion always was to help people live better lives while at work and outside of work. That is why she received formal training as a Life and Business Coach at Erickson Coaching International Institute, Vancouver, and became a member of the International Coaching Federation (ICF) almost ten years ago.
Jenny believes leaders play a crucial role in creating a healthy, engaging, motivating, and accommodating environment, whether they lead two or two thousand people. We spend long hours at work; therefore, how we are treated and feel about ourselves has a tremendous impact on all areas of our lives.
Thankfully, effective and emotionally intelligent leadership is a learned skill, and this is where Jenny’s expertise lies.
Over the years, Jenny developed close relationships with HRPA. She is an active member of the HRPA Speakers Bureau and was invited to deliver training to over half a dozen HRPA Chapters all over Ontario.
She is also active in a coaching community and serves as a Director of Membership & Volunteering within ICF Toronto Charter Chapter.
Jenny is a big supporter of science-based coaching and often shares the latest developments in neuroscience during her webinars and training.
In her spare time, she is a devoted dog mom, a bit of a bookworm and a wine lover.
More than twenty years ago, Steve Jobs said: “The people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world are the ones who do.” Jenny believes that she is one of them.
